Maryland Heights, MO – Seventh Wave Laboratories, LLC ( announces that Judit Markovits, DVM, PhD, Diplomat ACVP, Fellow IATP has joined the firm to support their growing portfolio of clients.   Prior to Seventh Wave Dr. Markovits held an appointment at Houston Methodist Research Institute, where, she was responsible for providing pathology support in translational research.  Her work there involved basic oncology studies as well as working with drug candidates and devices utilizing a wide range of nanotechnology applications.

Prior to her work at the Houston Methodist Research institute, Dr. Markovits worked for more than 20 years at Novartis.  At Novartis, Dr. Markovits supported discovery and investigative pathology, and also GLP safety assessment, evaluating both large and small molecule drug candidates.    She served as a project team representative for toxicology/pathology on international project teams for multiple disease areas.  In addition, she was target pathologist and strategic pathologist for Oncology, US.

In addition to providing scientific leadership for internal studies, she was involved in peer review of contracted studies as well as de-risking and troubleshooting a variety of pathology issues.  Dr Markovits joins Seventh Wave as an anatomic pathologist to support pharmacology and toxicology studies. “I am looking forward to joining an organization I’ve admired for their high scientific standards and quality work”.
