Maryland Heights, MO – Seventh Wave Laboratories, LLC (www.7thwavelabs.com. ) announced today that Denise Schwahn, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVP has joined the firm to support their continued growth. Dr. Schwahn joins with expertise in research support and nonhuman primate pathology.  She also specializes in molecular oncology, cardiology, stem cells, and genetics.

Prior to joining Seventh Wave Labs, LLC, Dr. Schwahn spent seven years supporting the research mission of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She provided pathology services for publications, grant applications, and Investigational New Drug applications of university researchers.  She also served the School of Veterinary Medicine as Clinical Assistant Professor, mentoring veterinary anatomic pathology residents and veterinary student externs.  Denise is active in the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) Examination Committee where she was Laboratory Animal Chair and will be Knowledge Chair in 2017.  She earned her veterinary degree at the University of California-Davis and completed her residency at The Ohio State University.

Dr. Schwahn joins Seventh Wave as Principal Pathologist to support pharmacology and toxicology studies for drug and device development.  “I’m excited to take my customized pathology services to a new level and serve a wider array of research needs.  The environment at Seventh Wave is excellent, and I look forward to being part of a team dedicated to achieving client goals and moving compounds and devices forward.”
